1. Kiwi Seed Oil
Packed with ahigh concentration of up to 62% Alpha Linoleic Acid, an omega-3 fatty acid that our body is unable to produce, Kiwi Seed Oil is key to maintaining moisture in the skin, improving elasticity and reducing the signs of ageing. One of the best face oils for dry and mature skin, it helps to keep skin soft and supple and is also rich in vitamin C and E, which help to protect skin from environmental damage.
2. Blackcurrant Seed Oil
A key face oil in our full range of bee venom skincare and natural face creams, Blackcurrant Seed Oil is particularly rich in gamma-linolenic acid (GLA); an omega-6 fatty acid important in maintaining the elasticity of the skin. This is particularly significant since GLA is not common to many oils, and Blackcurrant Seed Oil contains a whopping 20% content of GLA.
Bursting with anti-oxidants, Blackcurrant Seed Oil is a powerful superfood skincare ingredient for protecting skin from free radical damage and boosting cell renewal, making it helpful to those with pigmentation issues. It alsocarries four times the amount of vitamin C as oranges, and can even help soothe psoriasis.
3. Prickly Pear Seed Oil
A member of the cactus family, thanks to its ability to retain water for long periods of time, Prickly Pear can survive and thrive through long droughts, producing fruit that contains small black seeds. It’s from these small black seeds that we extract its precious oil, which is extremely high in essential fatty acids, known for their role in promoting collagen production.
But perhaps its most potent superpower is its huge concentration of vitamin E - you’ll find 150% more vitamin E in Prickly Pear Seed Oil than in Argan Oil. A natural antioxidant, vitamin E helps to fight free radicals, improve elasticity and increase cell renewal, which is great news for promoting soft and smooth skin.
Found in our night cream, it is fast-absorbing, non-comodogenic and has a high linoleic acid content. This helps to prevent sebum from hardening, which ultimately can lead to blocked pores and blemishes, making it one of the best oils for oily skin.
4. Goji Seed Oil
Nicknamed the anti-aging fruit, Goji berries have been used for over 2000 years in Chinese medicine for a variety of health benefits. Legend has it that many years ago, a doctor discovered a group of people who lived for over 100 years. It was no coincidence that these people were living next to wells where goji berries grew in abundance, and eventually fell into the water.
So what’s in these super fruits? With high concentrations of vitamin C, they help to firm and tighten the skin, whilst protecting it from environmental stress of everyday life and reducing the appearance of age spots. They are also an excellent antioxidant which helps to fight the aging process and the effects of environmental damage on the skin. High in vitamin E and amino acids, Goji Seed Oil also helps to lock in hydration deep into the layers of the skin and accelerate cell turnover and repair.
